Southern Cross Soloists: Music and Words Concert Three

In the final concert of the Queensland inspired Music and Words series, Southern Cross Soloists (SxS) welcomes one of Queensland's most popular and successful writers, Nick Earls, as narrator for its Music and Words Concert Three.

Held on Sunday, 29 November 2009 at 3.00 p.m. at the State Library of Queensland, the concert will begin with the great Debussy song cycle, Ariettes oubliées, complemented by readings from Nick Earls' best seller, Bachelor Kisses.

"I chose Bachelor Kisses primarily because of the wonderful sections describing Debussy. The beautiful prose is really heartfelt and memorable," said Artistic Director and Clarinettist Paul Dean.

With the emotionally charged words of Nick Earls and the incidental music of Greenbaum, this is sure to be a piece that will resonate deep within members of the audience.
