Southern Cross Soloists Perform Music and Words Two
Australia's highly successful chamber group Southern Cross Soloists (SxS) eagerly announces its latest Music and Words concert collaboration with Rodney Hall, an international award-winning author and distinguished Australian theatre and music identity.
This one-time concert, which includes music from some much-loved French repertoire from Debussy and Delibes, interspersed with Hall reading from his own work, takes place at 3.00 p.m. on Sunday 27 July at the State Library of Queensland.
Hall has published 11 collections of poems, 13 novels, two biographies and several books of social commentary, as well as plays and librettos for music theatre pieces. He has won many prizes and awards including twice taking home both the Miles Franklin Award and the gold medal of the Australian Literature Society. Hall is also an actor and musician.
