40th Australian Drag Racing Nationals
Willowbank Raceway's Australian Drag Racing Nationals on November 4 to 6 will provide a major milestone for the sport as the event celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Hosting such a significant occasion reinforces Willowbank Raceway's reputation as the countries drag racing capital.
Officials of the quarter mile facility will once again gear up to play host to all six professional racing categories in a guaranteed showcase of first class motor racing activities.
The Top Fuel bracket is what the big crows at Willowbank Raceway warm to and with the extended activity at the Western Sydney International Dragway, there's bound to be a host of newcomers making a serious challenge this season.
The Australian Drag Racing Nationals has been buoyed in recent years through the additional support of the Queensland Events Corporation under its Major Events portfolio.
Further State Government funding also allowed a million dollar track resurfacing project to be undertaken, which has developed the Ipswich facility to International standards, allowing Willowbank Raceway to maintain its reputation as one of the fastest tracks in Australia.
