Rugby League World Cup in Brisbane
The Rugby League World Cup will be held in Brisbane, Australia in October and November. The World Cup will mark a season-long celebration of Rugby League's centenary Down Under. The last World Cup was played in 2000 when Australia defeated New Zealand 40 points to 12 in the World Cup Final in Manchester, England.
The competition will feature 10 teams with New Zealand, England, Australia, Papua New Guinea and France entering automatically. Five more teams are to be selected from the qualifiers which kicked off in April 2006. Currently Tonga and Samoa have qualified with three remaining spots to be decided in the qualifiers. Come and enjoy the games as Australia attempts to regain its 2000 title.
