Southern Cross Challenge

Drawing together teams from across the globe, the Southern Cross Challenge is an initiative of Softball Queensland and Canterbury (New Zealand) and promises to be an exciting, action packed tournament for teams and spectators alike.

The Southern Cross Challenge provides an annual international-standard softball competition in the southern hemisphere. The event is hosted by Softball Queensland and Canterbury Softball Association in alternate years, and began in 2008 in Queensland. The Southern Cross Challenge incorporates both a female competition and a male competition. The 2008 event saw local and state teams from Queensland, regional and national teams from New Zealand and a Papua New Guinea team compete for the title of Southern Cross Challenge Women's Champions and Men's Champions.
