Bundaberg Gemfair
The Bundaberg Gemfair is organised by the Bundaberg Gem and Mineral Society Incorporated and they will be showcasing a wide variety of gemstones, crystals, fossils, lapidary supplies and local craft. Gemfair provides an opportunity to purchase jewellery and gifts made from precious and semi-precious gemstones, or to buy lapidary supplies and equipment locally.
You can buy a stone of your choice at the fair and have it set while you wait. There will be demonstrations of faceting, with the opportunity to try your hand at cutting a stone. Bundaberg club members will also demonstrate their skills in silver smithing, chain making, and wirework.
The Micromount group will have the microscope and a variety of crystals for you to examine. Club members will provide information for prospective members. A free treasure map competition for children and lucky door prizes every hour for admission ticket holders. Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available.
