Bundaberg Weekender Chess Tournament
The Bundaberg Weekender Chess Tournament event is a CAQ approved and is a Myer Tan Category Two Chess Tournament. Leading chess players from all over Queensland and New South Wales are expected to attend. It follows on from a very successful event held in 2007.
It is hoped to have an International Chess Master and also a visually impaired player (who uses a brail chess board and remembers his moves!!) in attendance. The event is conducted as a six round Swiss tournament and the President of the Chess Association of Queensland Incorporated, Mr Garvin Gray, will be the Director of Play. Thanks to excellent sponsorships, large cash prizes will be available.
