Rocky Barra Bounty 2008
This year’s ‘Rocky Barra Bounty’ Tag and Release Barramundi Fishing Event is to cast off on the Fitzroy River from 23 to 25 October 2008. The competition is judged on the most metres of Barramundi tagged and released.
Teams comprising of two anglers compete across two days to see which team can catch the most metres of Barramundi using lures or bait. As well as the Champion Team prizes, there is the Champion Angler of the competition, and also the angler who catches the most meters of species other than Barramundi.
The briefing at the Fitzroy Motor Boat Club on the Thursday evening is compulsory. Entrants in the event are requested to supply their own digital camera for verification of their catch. There have been minor modifications to the scoring system this year to make it easier to understand. Details are available on the website.
