Nanango Funfest - Pioneer Theme
Nanango Funfest is a family arts and cultural festival with events that reflect the annual chosen theme. This year it is Pioneer Funfest. Key functions such as movies, pioneer walks and drives, a bush dance and workshops will be held in the lead up to the main event which will boast a spectacular street parade with reflections towards the pioneer forbearers.
Rides, demonstrations, photographic displays, poet's breakfast and many other items will be included in this event, with an emphasis on Q150, as Nanango has played such an important role in Queensland's history. Nanango is the fourth oldest town in Queensland.
Other events include the Nanango King and Queen of the mountain footrace, cycling, a heritage fashion parade, theatrette, workshops and other displays throughout the day, and a variety of entertainment will be provided to entertain the crowds.
