Rockhana - Annual Gem and Mineral Festival

The Rockhana Gem and Mineral Festival is a unique event showcasing local fossicking sites and gemstones to be found in the Cloncurry Shire. Cloncurry is presently experiencing a mineral boom and the Rockhana is a celebration of the importance of mining to the town

The Cloncurry Shire is rich in gold, copper, garnets, amethyst, Maltese crosses as well as minor minerals.

The Rockhana is a three day Festival where a variety of wares are offered to the public including tailgaters from gemfests, food stalls, children's activities, and the Lucky Strike competition to name a few. Local bands entertain the patrons and this event is enjoyed by young and old at the Mary Kathleen Park, Cloncurry's Visitor Information Centre, a wonderful setting on the entrance to town.

Cloncurry welcomes all to visit and enjoy this event and to explore other features of the wonderful town.
