As part of this year's Centenary of Parks celebrations, Environmental Protection Agency rangers are hosting a series of overnight adventures in Queensland's parks. Join the rangers on tours that uncover hidden treasures in outback parks, and discover the abundance of life and history in the remote and arid landscapes of Queensland. Discover what life is like for their park rangers - outback.
At Diamantina National Park spend the evening spotlighting for nocturnal desert wildlife with the chance of seeing Kowaris, Dunnarts and Hopping Mice, followed by a slideshow at the park homestead with a free barbecue.
On Sunday join staff on a tour of a bilby burrow complex. Learn about bilbies and how they manage habitat and threats to protect this endangered species. Bookings are essential. Please contact Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services for more details.
