Centenary of Parks - Welford National Park

As part of this year's Centenary of Parks celebrations, Environmental Protection Agency rangers are hosting a series of overnight adventures in Queensland's parks.

Join the rangers on tours that uncover hidden treasures in outback parks, and discover the abundance of life and history in the remote and arid landscapes of Queensland. Discover what life is like for their park rangers - outback.

At Welford National Park learn more about Queensland wildlife by birdwatching at Franks Waterhole followed by an evening slideshow and a free barbecue dinner. The next morning tour Welford and see hard mulga country with rangers - perhaps catch a glimpse of a yellow-footed rock-wallaby or a mulga parrot! Bring a packed lunch to enjoy when you return.
