Porcupine Gorge National Park Challenge

The Porcupine Gorge National Park Challenge is an eight kilometre run / walk through the Porcupine Gorge National Park, approximately 65 kilometres north of Hughenden. This event has categories for Open Men / Women, Under 16 Boys / Girls and Under 12 Boys / Girls as well as participation walks. There are cash prizes and perpetual trophies for winners and place getters.

The run will start from the Pyramid at the bottom of the Gorge with competitors then completing six and a half kilometres of the challenge in the Gorge. The final one and a half kilometres of the challenge is expected to be the hardest part with competitors making their way up the winding path out of the Gorge to the camping ground area.

The event is sponsored by Flinders Shire Council, Queensland Events and supported by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. All competitors receive a free shirt with registration.
