Bush Medicine - NAIDOC Art Exhibition

Bush Medicine - NAIDOC Art Exhibition, is curated by Sandra Conte for Lime Twist. NAIDOC event to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Lime Twist provides the location for a stunning display of Aboriginal art by women from the Northern Territory. Six art works entitled 'Bush Medicine Leaves' enliven the space and allows us to pay our respects to these talented women from different generations of an extended family.

Take in healthy dining and art - it's good for the heart.

The exhibition presents acrylic depictions on canvas of bush medicine leaves, as traditionally gathered by the women, boiled up and used for all manner of ailments from influenza to backache. Some of the works have previously shown to acclaim at the National Wine Centre of Australia in Adelaide.
