Waitangi Day Sunshine Coast

Waitangi Day Sunshine Coast is a celebration of Maori and Polynesian culture complete with traditional entertainment, food and craft mixed with lots of fun.

There will be live entertainment with a huge sound system by local, talented bands and DJs, Maori and Polynesian culture and dance groups, and much more. There will be a Hangi (traditional Maori cooking), plus food stands of fresh and cooked seafood, traditional Maori and Polynesian fast food and snacks, fruit, door prize and competitions throughout the day.

There is free entertainment for the kids including jumping castle, face painting, games and educational programs.

Due to liquor license and council regulations, no eskies or food is allowed to be bought into the ground. Hangi, ethnic and fun food and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, will be available at reasonable prices.
