Australian Festival of Chamber Music

Entering its 18th year, the Australian Festival of Chamber Music (AFCM) is an international chamber music festival held over 10 days each July in Townsville, North Queensland. Every year, the Festival attracts approximately 35 chamber musicians from around the world.

Besides the core concert series, the Festival has a number of other key components focusing on music education, community outreach and the environment. It attracts a growing number of patrons from every state in Australia who come to experience its international reputation for innovative programming across a range of classical music styles in a tropical winter setting.
