Australian Hand Cane Cutting Championship

The Australian Hand Cane Cutting Championships will be held in Dalbeg on Sunday 20 July. This is the only hand cane cutting competition in Australia and is recognised as an iconic event for the Burdekin. Cane Cutting competition, Tug-of-War, Cut, Top and Load Relay (four man team event), Celebrity event, food and drinks, and entertainment are available throughout the day. There is also free face painting and jumping castle for the kids! Camping facilities are available at the Dalbeg Hall. Proceeds from the Bar and barbecue go towards Millaroo P and C Association.
