Townsville Running Festival
As both a community sports festival and recognised marathon event, Townsville Running Festival attracts both professional sports people and members of the public to compete in its comprehensive program of races and fun outdoor festivities. As Australia's eighth largest marathon, more than 1500 participants and thousands of spectators enjoy this exciting festival which promotes health and wellbeing, whilst showcasing the appeal and liveability of Townsville.
Running for over 10 years this event has become a must do in the North Queensland running community as well attracting many in the local community. The Townsville Running Festival has an event to suit all skill levels including marathon, half marathon, 10 and a half kilometre run and five kilometre fun run/walk.
