Big Talk One Fire Indigenous Cultural Festival
Cairns will come alive with a five day festival celebrating the breadth and diversity of Far North Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture. Coinciding with the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair, The Big Talk One Fire Indigenous Cultural Festival provides a unique opportunity for visitors and locals to experience the best of Indigenous music, dance, crafts and culture from across Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands.
Presented by UMI Arts, the Festival is a free event and will include the hugely popular UMI Arts Indigenous Markets, where stall-holders from around the region sell their locally made Indigenous artworks, crafts and artefacts directly to Market-goers. The Festival will also feature live traditional and contemporary music, dance, performances and presentations. Immerse yourself in the rich cultures of this unique region of Australia - right there in Cairns!
