Reality Bites is the only Australian literary festival focusing on nonfiction. It introduces audiences to Australia's best writers of literary nonfiction; creating opportunities for debate and information exchange on current issues and fosters an appreciation of regional writing. The festival program includes author talks, panel discussions, workshops, and interviews, and offers a bookshop where you can meet the authors and purchase copies of their books.
Now in its fifth year, Reality Bites is appreciated by its audiences and guest authors as a friendly , interactive and stimulating event.
The festival is held in and around the new library in the hinterland town of Cooroy, with easy access to the major attractions and facilities of the Sunshine Coast.
