Metropolis, A showing of works by independent filmmakers from the Philippines
Filipino Australian Community Services, Incorporated. Presents The Blossoming of Maximo Oliveros (Ang Padadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros), a story about love and family values that evokes the essence of street life in Manila’s slums like no other indie film.
Metropolis is co-presented by Anahata Foundation; a community based artistic collective and grass roots production team in Manila with well-grounded connections to local and migrant communities in Australia.
This event is made possible through the assistance of the Philippine Independent Filmmakers Cooperative, the Cultural Centre of the Philippines Media Arts Division, Cinemalaya and the City of Port Adelaide and Enfield.
