Irish Race Day 2008
This is probably the happiest meeting of the year.
In true Irish spirit, there are lots of celebrating, lots of laughs, and plenty to eat and drink. But that's not to say everyone doesn't get into the racing – it's almost an Irish pastime - and many of Ireland's leading jumps jockeys fly out just to compete in the 'Jumps Jockeys Challenge'. And then, of course, there's heaps of live Irish music to dance away the afternoon.
