Australian MTB Championships
Adelaide will host the Australian MTB National Championships in January 2010. Featuring six disciplines of mountain biking including Downhill, Olympic Cross Country, 4X, Short Course Cross Country, Trails and Dirt Jumps, this action packed event will feature local and national mountain biking champions in the lead up to Adelaide and Australia's only UCI Pro Tour event, the Santos Tour Down Under.
The 2010 Championships will be held at the purpose built Eagle Mountain Bike Park with the event village nestled amongst an amphitheatre of trails. Featuring a tightly packed schedule along with music, commentary and live video on a big screen showing in the village, the atmosphere will be electric.
In Downhill competition you will see current World Cup Series Winner Sam Hill as well as Crankworks 2009 Dual Slalom Junior winner Troy Brosnan and Perth rising star Mitch Delfs.
Cross country racing will feature most of Australia’s contingent from the recent World MTB Championships in Canberra, including Olympian Dan McConnell and highest placed Australian in the under 23 Women’s category, local hero, Terri Rhodes.
It’s a huge fortnight of cycling in South Australia and accommodation will be tight. Don’t miss out on this festival of wheels, book early and stay for a while. More event info at our website.
