Glenbarr 'Christmas in June'
Historic Glenbarr (circa 1842) at Strathalbyn presents two days of wonderful Christmas displays, organized by local community groups, on the ground floor of Glenbarr Homestead.
The town band, the Alexandrina Singers and small music groups will provide entertainment. There will also be Christmas craft activities and traditional games in 'The Barn' for children and competitions for older children.
Delicious food will be available all day in the Stable Inn. Book for 'Christmas Dinner in June' on Saturday 28 June, telephone: 08 8555 0495.
You can find us down a winding lane off Paris Creek Road on the northwest edge of Strathalbyn (Glenbarr sign at the entrance) and there will also be 'Christmas in June' signs.
Historic Glenbarr is an attractive, well-hidden two storey bluestone farm homestead complex situated on the outskirts of rural Strathalbyn. Settled by Scottish Pioneer, William Rankine in 1842, some of his descendants are still volunteers at Glenbarr in 2008.
All proceeds go to the restoration of the historic homestead and garden.
