Set in picturesque Encounter Bay, the tram takes passengers from the mainland via the 600 metre wooden causeway to Granite Island - an idyllic way to experience a remarkable piece of coast.

Relax to the rhythmic clop-clop-clop of Clydesdale hooves and the rumble of tram wheels. Breathe in the fresh salt air. And of course enjoy the view over the Bay, the Bluff and the Island. Be sure to look for schools of small fish swimming under and around the causeway and don’t forget to check the horizons for larger marine life - dolphins and seals visit these waters all year, while southern right whales are here to mate and calve between May and October.
