Ride the Angas
Imagine two days of fully supported rides cycling through the beautiful wineries of Langhorne Creek and the unique art, history and heritage of Strathalbyn, only 100 kilometres from Adelaide. Ride the Angas includes ride experiences for children, families, wine tasters, art and history lovers and serious riders at very reasonable prices.
Day one consists of three scenic winery rides of seven, 10 and 50 kilometres, starting and finishing at Langhorne Creek followed by refreshments, children’s entertainment and quality local jazz.
Stay overnight and kick up your heels at the Milang Traditional Bush Dance on Saturday night with the Rocky River Bush Band calling traditional and contemporary bush dances. Bring your own traditional country supper.
Day two kicks off at Strathalbyn, discovering the beautiful Angas River, waving goodbye to the Steam Ranger, exploring the art and history of Strathalbyn. The longer ride takes in the breathtaking scenery of Macclesfield, Meadows and Ashbourne and over the ranges and back to Strathalbyn. The event finishes just in time for the famous Rotary Duck Races at Strathalbyn Lake.
