Kangaroo Island Art Feast 2008
The Kangaroo Island Art Feast is an annual celebration of art, food and wine, held at various venues across the Island, beginning on the Labour
Day long weekend. The event fuses restaurants, wineries and foodies with a smorgasbord of local artists for a series of special events, showcasing the very best the Island has to offer.
Last year there were 16 separate events around the Island, including ‘Bottom’s Up’ at Dudley Wines, ‘Tasty Sweets and Arty Treats’ at Clifford’s Honey Farm, ‘Sunset Blues’ at Sunset Winery and ‘Bee Art-Full’ at Island Beehive. Expect more of the same this year as the Islands creative minds come together. A highlight last year was the inaugural Art Feast Bus Trip taking in a number of venues over a day. The 2008 Bus Trip will be bigger and better with details to be released soon.
Kangaroo Island is a place that inspires those who call it home. For a relatively small population, Kangaroo Island is fortunate to be home to internationally acclaimed artists, chefs, producers and winemakers.
The Kangaroo Island Art Feast from October 3-12 is where it all comes together. Visitors are encouraged to spend the week on Kangaroo Island not only enjoying the various Art Feast events taking place but also the spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and some of Australia’s best beaches
