Millicent Gallery Exhibition 'A Tribute To Iris Frame'
Visit the Millicent Gallery to view an exhibition toured by Country Arts South Australia commemorating the work of Iris Frame. "A Tribute to Iris Frame" is a retrospective exhibition curated to commemorate the anniversary of this South East artist’s death in 2003. During her artistic life, Mrs Iris Frame, as she was most commonly referred to and as she signed her work, was often maligned and even ridiculed as eccentric, paranoid and naïve but Iris' techniques, in their own interpretive way, show surprising sophistication in colour, composition and subtle inherent abstractions. The more you look at her work, the more you see. Naturally, the work speaks for itself visually, and critics no doubt will make their own judgement in good time.
