Tall Timbers Wood Work Exhibition 2008
Beginning on Saturday 2 March 2008 the Tall Timbers Woodwork Exhibition is an important part of the Geltwood Craft Festival and as such is recognised as an integral component of the Geltwood Craft Festival representing the wood craftsmanship and artistry of the district and surrounding areas. This year the exhibition has an exciting new format with new categories and five significant awards.
The categories will be :
Wood Turning
Sculpture/Carving
Furniture
Best red Gum/Pine
Artist's Choice
and Peoples' Choice selected by the community.
Judging for the People's Choice will begin on the first day and for the week of the Geltwood Craft Festival 28 March 2008. All winners will be announced.
For the seventh year this exhibition will display woodwork of the highest quality in the Millicent Visitor Information Centre for six weeks finishing on 18 May 2008. Last year over a sixteen hundred visitors passed through the centre and viewed the exhibits during this period. Last year we had an exceptional response to the invitations to exhibit and some 29 pieces were exhibited, all of outstanding quality and workmanship.
An entry fee is to accompany the entry form and sent to Millicent Visitor Information Centre. Entry fee is not refundable. The entry fee may be for up to four items by the same entrant. Entries to be received at Millicent Visitor Information Centre. Entries to include a description of the entry.
