Cobdogla Irrigation and Steam Museum Twilight Run 2008

The museum originally was a major project to commence South Australia's 150th birthday. It focuses on the area's irrigation history, particularly the unique Humphrey Pumps.

Australia's 'Big Thumper" is alive again at the Cobdogla Irrigation Museum. The world's only working Humphrey Pump has been carefully restored and is demonstrated along with a steam locomotive, steam traction engine, oil engines, tractors and machinery from the early development era of the Irrigation Areas

Over the warmer months the museum holds fun evenings out for the whole family with Diesel Twilight Train Rides available for AUD2.00 each. Enjoy a sausage sizzle, drinks and ice creams or shop for a souvenir.

The Twilight Train will operate on 6, 12, 19 and 26 January 2008 and then again on 1 November and 20 December 2008.

For further details for operating dates and times contact the Barmera Travel Centre on (08) 8588 2289 as group and family tours by appointment are welcome.
