From Arnhem Land to the Riverland Art Exhibition

Titled 'From Arnhem Land to the Riverland' a large private collection of Aboriginal art and artefacts from Northern Australia will be on show over the June long weekend to help raise money for the 2008 Renmark and District Show.

The exhibition, sponsored by Cobram Estate will coincide with the Riverland Balloon Fiesta, which is also held on the long weekend. Visitors will be able to enjoy the spectacular balloons and take a wander through the vast and amazing collection of Arnhem Land art.

In support of local artists, the exhibition will also include pieces of art on display by members of the McCormick Centre Art Group and by Steve Everingham of Goanna Hill Gallery in Paringa.

The exhibition will open on Saturday 7 June in the Show Hall adjacent to the Renmark Oval and remain open from 9am to 3pm. We also hope to open for an evening session to coincide with the Balloon Fiesta’s Balloon Glow on the Saturday evening. On Sunday we will again be open from 9am to 3pm. All proceeds from entry to the exhibition and trading table sales on the day will go to the Renmark Show Society, towards preparations for this year’s show.
