West End Mighty River Run 2009
Fasten your lifejackets, fire up your outboards and get ready to ‘cruise for a cause’, when the state’s largest and longest floating fundraiser hits the Murray River once again.
This November, join all the action as hundreds of big-hearted boaties set sail down South Australia’s mighty Murray in the 2009 West End Mighty River Run!
In 2008, the event saw a flotilla of boats, carrying more than 100 enthusiastic passengers, travelling along some of the state’s most spectacular stretches of river - all to raise money for South Aussie kids living with disabilities.
In 2009, the Run will leave from Blanchetown on Monday 23 November, with around 40 boats expected to cast off on the five-day voyage upstream to the New South Wales border and back to Renmark. This year’s event promises to be bigger than ever, with water sports, wine tasting, major auctions, tours and a gala dinner.
