Australian Native Plant Display
The inaugural Native Plant Display and Sale at Kadina will be held on Saturday 24 May 2008 at The Farm Shed Tourist Information Centre, Moonta Road, Kadina, from 10am until 4pm.
Plants suitable for local conditions, including drought tolerant, limestone tolerant, coastal and windbreaks will be available. There will also be a variety of other stalls that either relate to or compliment native plants. (Native foods, conservation, horticultural/landscaping, arts/crafts). Entry is free.
Sausage sizzle, tea and coffee will be available for purchase.
There will be a raffle drawn on the day with the first prize being a "wheelbarrow full of garden goodies" valued at over AUD800.00, second prize is two large self watering pots and a tub of water saving crystals valued at AUD52.50 and third prize is a native plant book "Australian Native Plants by Wrigley and Fagg" valued at AUD45.00. Tickets are AUD1.00 each and will be available at the event. Raffle will be drawn at 4pm and the winners contacted by phone or mail.
Information on joining a branch of the Australian Plants Society will also be available.
This display and sale is being brought to you by the Northern Yorke Peninsula Group of the Australian Plants Society to promote the use of native plants and water wise gardening.
