Off Road Short Course

See off-road buggies and sedans race around this 2.1 kilometre off-road track near Latrobe.
This event is normally staged in December and forms the final round of the Off Road State Series.
The one day competition attracts a wide range of vehicles including all categories of off road buggies and sedans.
Over four 40 minute heats the competitors throw up dust , mud and scrub as they tear around the 2.1 kilometre track that is known for its excellent spectator viewing.
The Latrobe Off Road facility is adjacent to and part of the Latrobe Speedway complex, on Speedway Road just off the Bass Highway.
It is a short course, just 2.1 kilometress long with three table top jumps, long sweeping curves as well as tight ones.
The track surface is a mix of clay and cinders which can pose a challenge when wet. Most of the track including two of the jumps can be seen from the spectator area.
