Peter Tanfield and Ben Martin
Lose yourself in a sublime performance from Peter Tanfield (violin) and Ben Martin (piano) in Hobart.
The event program consists of BACH's Sonata for solo violin in G minor BWV 1001; GRIEG's Sonata no 3 in C minor for violin and piano op 45; STRAUSS' Sonata in E flat for violin and piano op 18; and RAVEL's Tzigane for violin and piano.
Tanfield studied under Yehudi Menuhin and has won prizes at numerous international violin competitions. As a soloist and chamber musician he has played throughout Europe, Asia, the USA, Canada, Africa, India and the USSR.
A graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School, Ben Martin has won scholarships to the Tanglewood Summer Festival, the Queen Elizabeth Grant, the Hepzibah Menuhin Memorial Award and the Marten Bequest.
