Giro Tasmania 1038 Randonnee
Held every two years, the 2009 Giro is already attracting interest from interstate and international riders.
Not for the faint-hearted, the 1000+ kilometre organised long-distance bike ride starts and finishes in Hobart, taking in the east coast, Weldborough Pass and the Sidling, Cradle Mountain, Strahan and Derwent Bridge / Lyell Highway to Hobart.
This 1000+ km Randonnee is completed in just 75 hours and time limits apply.
Competitors can use the Giro as a Paris-Brest-Paris qualifier.
