Mark Webber Pure Tasmania Challenge
Extreme adventures on the edge of the world.
Each year Mark Webber, Australia’s Formula One champion driver, leads the Mark Webber Pure Tasmania Challenge. This gruelling six-day race takes adrenalin junkies into Tasmania’s wildest landscapes to hike, sea kayak and mountain bike for more than 600 kilometres.
In 2008, international and Australian sports stars will compete in 12 teams of four (including an all-female team) racing for up to 12 hours a day.
The teams are challenged by some of the world’s wildest and most beautiful terrains from Cradle Mountain to the remote southwest wilderness and on to the idyllic east coast of Freycinet National Park.
