B&E Rotary Duck Race

The Rotary Club of Central Launceston's Great Duck Race is an event you would be quackers to miss!
The Great Duck Race gets under way with a spectacular helicopter drop of cute ducks in many colours into the North Esk River.
The course is 500 metres between Lower Charles Street, where the helicopter drops about 3,000 ducks before they float towards the Tamar Street Bridge.
All monies raised go to the schools, non profit clubs, Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania or special Rotary local charities.
The day also includes the Boag's Battle of Pride Truck Pull using Tasmania fire service engines, a dragon boat paddled by a team of breast cancer survivors at noon and a new fun event Chuck a Duck, a schoolchildren's duck carry relay race. Face-painting and other activities are also features of the day.
