Menopause the Musical
A hilarious musical about four women's bond because of menopause symptoms, at the Princess Theatre
This hilarious night out features parodies of some of the biggest hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s including The Great Pretender, Only You, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Stand by Your Man, I Will Survive and twenty more - all sung with gusto and all with their new lyrics.
Four women - an ageing soap star, an earth mother, a professional woman and a rural housewife - meet fighting at a lingerie sale in a department store and bond because of menopause symptoms.
Author Jeanie Linders was inspired by a hot flush and a bottle of wine to create this musical as a celebration of a life passage that launches women into an exciting new phase of their lives.
Literally hundreds of thousands of women in Australia have enjoyed Menopause the Musical over the last couple of years and their menfolk have enjoyed it just as much.
'The story line is very easy to follow, very funny, and, along with some great choreography, all together makes for a fast-paced sure-fire hit.' View, Auckland
