Come and see one of Australia's truly classic plays performed by the Rockhampton Little Theatre. Returned soldiers Alf Cook and neighbour Wacka Dawson celebrate Anzac Day the way they always do - getting roaring drunk following the March. Alf's son, Hughie, is disgusted with his father's behaviour and is determined to "blow the lid" on the drunken excesses of Anzac Day celebrations in his own devious way much to the chagrin of his father and mother. What follows is an emotional rollercoaster, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, as father and son come head to head.
