Thunderbolts Festival

Thunderbolts Festival is an annual community event. It is held in conjunction with Harleys for Humanity who ride (motorbikes) from Newcastle raising money for charity. This is the premier event for Uralla. The whole community gets involved. There are free activities in Alma Park; rock climb wall, mechanical bull and surfboard rides, jumping castles, merry-go-round, dog high jump challenge, acrobatic displays, local not-for-profit groups provide food and refreshments. There is music and a battle of the bands, market stalls, bush poets breakfast and competition, helicopter joy flights, billycart derby and lots of fun. Plenty of local businesses get involved by accommodating the visitors and providing food and entertainment.
