Superb music, combined with the magnificent scenery of the Mt Warning Wollumbin caldera in the Tweed Valley, Northern New South Wales, makes the annual Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music a unique and exhilarating experience! The Festival began in 1991 when concert violinists Carmel Kaine and John Willison fell under the acoustic spell of the Tyalgum Literary Institute. Since then numerous artists have ranked the 1908 hall alongside some of the best acoustic concert venues in the world.
The Festival program features some of Australia’s finest professional and emerging classical musicians and will include the performance of commissioned new works premiered at the Tyalgum Festival, works by Australian composers and repertoire interweaving the history of the piano.
Also included is a vibrant fringe program highlighting Music, Art and Nature in Australia's Green Cauldron.Visit Website
