Castlemaine & District Festival of Gardens

Every year, gardeners throughout the Shire of Mount Alexander open their wonderful gardens to the public. Up to 25 gardens are open over nine days of Melbourne Cup week and weekends.

Spring is a wonderful time to visit our area, the weather is usually fine and the gardens and surrounding countryside are looking sensational.

The gardens are diverse from the large town gardens to the small cottage garden to the rambling rural properties and everything in between.
