Lorne Sculpture Exhibition

The Lorne Sculpture Exhibition provides a different day at the beach with both fun and art for all the family. This sensational event celebrates Lorne's surf coast with 30 major sculptural works and installations along the beautiful Foreshore Walk from the Lorne Pier to Mantra Resort. A further 20 or so smaller works nestle in the Lorne shop windows. This free-to-public community supported exhibition runs for 3 weeks from October 17 to November 8, 2009.

Copper animals and live sheep. Sculpture as you've never seen it before! The LSE is an entertaining show for all the family where you can see wind-powered moving shapes, inflatable sculptures, monumental bronze figures, copper animals, steel forms, dry stone walls plus the works of new emerging artists exhibiting beside Australia's high profile sculptors. There's also a children's activity pack designed to awaken the artistic spark in every child, and a full colour catalogue to guide visitors along the length of the Lorne foreshore. Educational workshops will take place on weekends, so there is something for everybody. School groups are especially welcome to marvel at the work of some of Australia's top sculptors. You can even become a judge by casting a vote for your favourite work as part of the People's Choice Award.
