Australian Whale Boat Racing Championships
Warrnambool Whaling heritage is celebrated through these Whaleboat Racing Championships with teams from around Australia racing for the ultimate prize of Australian Champions.
Using Australian Whaleboats, the beautiful backdrop of Hopkins River provides the venue for an exciting day of racing and land based activities. Be sure to get involved!
This is a unique event that will celebrate our heritage and have all the community involved. Teams from USA have confirmed the attendance making it an international event.
Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village whaleboat fleet is brought into action as teams compete for this great honour.
Onshore activities will include market stalls, community BBQ, fishing competition and other events that overlook the race venue.
Book a table at Proudfoots Boathouse to make a great day as your cheer on your team. A post event celebration will also be held at Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village to welcome guests from USA and around Australia.
