The 20th Boite Singers' Festival in Daylesford
A blissful four days of singing, surrounded by friendly company, beautiful countryside, intriguing galleries, exquisite cuisine and relaxing day spas.
For 20 years, singers have gathered in the historic Daylesford township to sing in workshops and concerts in unique venues throughout the town.
The Boite Singers Festival at Daylesford is famous for its friendly atmosphere. An inspiring line-up of artists present diverse vocal styles from across the globe in dynamic workshops and performances. The encouraging nature of these workshops enables singers, both beginners and experienced, to gain unique insights into the world of voice.
The festival opens with a FREE outdoor concert. The Sunset Song Circle is held on the lawn at Jubilee Lake on Thursday, January 7th 2010. This is a beautiful way to start the festival. Surrounded by luscious melodies, watch the sunset on a stunning lakeside backdrop.
Evening concerts in the Daylesford Town Hall showcase the spectacular artists at the festival. Choirs attend the festival annually and are featured in the Saturday afternoon Choirs Concert.
The Boite Children s Festival, which takes place on the same weekend, is where children aged 6-16 take part in musical fun and circus tricks with talented musicians and teachers. All those attending the Children s festival become the featured performers in the Sunday afternoon showcase event!
Good food, great coffee and award winning wines are never far away in Daylesford. At the 2010 Singers Festival, The Boite will be launching its very own wine label. This fund raising wine was hand picked by Boite members in 2009 as part of the year long celebrations commemorating the 30th anniversary of The Boite, a not-for-profit organisation committed to encouraging community participation in the arts. Proceeds from the sale of this wine will help us to create the next 30 years of history!
