Woodend Winter Arts Festival
Each year, Woodend plays host to the Woodend Winter Arts Festival.
In 2008 this three-day celebration of the arts will include:
* The jazz great James Morrison,
* Three performances of the Baroque opera Dafne featuring some of Australia's best musicians and singers,
* A special children's concert of Peter and the Wolf, with Max Gillies and the Scotch College orchestra,
* A series of literary events including a full day family history workshop;
* A number of visual arts events and other free events,
* A series of classical concerts including pianist Michael Kieran Harvey, the Australian String Quartet and many others.
