Resonant Visions: Contemporary video from Latin America
This exhibition focuses on a small but diverse selection of works by four contemporary artists: scar Mu oz, Sebastian Diaz Morales, Jennifer Allora and Guillermo Calzadilla. The video works in the exhibition explore different dimensions of the changing conditions of our times, and interrogates, via different means, the complex interrelationship between politics and aesthetics.
Contemporary video from Latin America considers ideas that have dominated the social and political landscape in recent years: relationships between the individual and the collective; distinctions between regional identities and global perspectives in postcolonial contexts; and the transience and resilience of human existence.
