Days in the Dioceses
Melbourne is a fantastic place to celebrate your faith on your way to World Youth Day 2008. Through events specifically organised for Melbourne s Days in the Dioceses as well as the day-to-day activities of the Church in the community, you will experience many examples of the living Church.
Melbourne has a rich Catholic history - it s the largest Archdiocese in Australia - and continues to serve all, especially the poor and disadvantaged.
If you re from Melbourne, Days in the Dioceses is a chance to engage with other young pilgrims from all over the world and share with them all that the city has to offer. For DID's overseas pilgrims, it s a chance to encounter Christ in a new country alongside thousands of other young people on the same journey as you.
One of the events you won t want to miss is a special Eucharist to commission pilgrims on their way to Sydney. DID is expecting more than 50,000 people to attend this inspiring event.
