The $5.6 million Emirates Melbourne Cup is more than just a horse race - it is a 149 year old social and cultural tradition that literally brings Australia to a standstill.
The race draws competitors from all over the world with the annual invasion of northern hemisphere-trained stayers making it a truly international event.

The Melbourne Cup Carnival is comprised of four unique race days:
Saturday 31st October AAMI Victoria Derby Day
Tuesday 3rd November Emirates Melbourne Cup Day
Thursday 5th November Crown Oaks Day
Saturday 7th November Emirates Stakes Day
